Training in Germany

October 27, 2017

Sabine will be using part of her Carol Lavell Advanced Training Grant to travel with Sanceo, owned by Alice Womble-Heitmann and Dr Mike Heitmann of Horsegate Ranch, to Mönchengladbach, Germany.

The pair will spend just under 60 days of intensive training with one of Sabine's previous trainers, Jan Nivelle. Because Sanceo is a stallion, they have to return to the US within 60 days in order to avoid a one month quarantine upon returning to the US.

Jan Nivelle (together with Stefanie Meyer-Biss) was a huge part in Sabine's training & education during her time as Head Trainer at Proud Meadows in Texas,

where she trained several Friesians to the FEI levels and competed successfully in Wellington, Florida.

The pair is planing to compete after their return from Germany in California at the Adequan West Coast Dressage Festival in January and February.
